The Garage: Students & Alumni featured in Chicago Inno’s 'Under 25’ List

Chicago Inno, a local entrepreneurship and innovation-focused publication, released this year’s Inno Under 25 List detailing the founders, investors, and community builders leaving their mark on Chicago’s startup community. Eight founders that have incubated or are currently incubating at The Garage made the list this year - snagging nearly half of the 17 spots on the list!

Take a look at The Garage students and alumni making waves in the industry:

Anthony Alepra, Weinberg ‘21

During his time at Northwestern, Anthony worked on multiple startups incubating at The Garage. Post-grad, he’s a Program Manager at Techstars Chicago Accelerator and a co-host of the Ventures by the Lake podcast, which discusses Chicago’s growing tech scene with various founders, investors, and leaders in the venture and entrepreneurial community.

Zahra Hussain, Weinberg ‘25

Zahra is the founder and CEO at Envo, a startup creating innovative solutions for single-use plastic products. The first of which comes in the form of a straw created by wheat stems, typically discarded as agricultural waste, into sturdy and eco-friendly drinking straws. At The Garage, Zahra is a participant in the Residency program and was a member of the 2023 Jumpstart cohort.

Alex Bahram, Weinberg ‘21-’22

Alex is a co-founder and CEO at Pathize Health, a health data analytics platform that helps manage complex chronic conditions like long COVID, ME/CFS, & POTS. During his time at Northwestern, he participated in The Garage’s Jumpstart and Residency programs before raising $500,000 with Drive Capital to work on his venture full-time.

Aspen Buckingham, Bienen & Weinberg ‘22 & Steven Jiang, Weinberg ‘23

Aspen, co-founder and CEO, and Steven, co-founder and COO, work together to build Overture Games, a startup that makes audio-responsive video games that give real-time feedback and makes even the most boring music practice fun. Think Guitar Hero, but for musicians!

The team participated in The Garage’s Jumpstart and Residency programs and progressed to the semifinals of VentureCat 2023 before being accepted to the Fall 2023 cohort of Techstars Chicago.

Bella Le Sage, Weinberg ‘25

Bella is the founder and CEO at hostU, a medium-term rental platform that aims to become the one-stop destination for students to find housing and easily sublet their accommodations, reducing the burden of double rent payments. Bella is a member of the Residency program at The Garage, participated in the Jumpstart program, and was a member of The Garage’s leadership development program, X-Factor. In addition, the company recently received equity investment from Thirteen Castles.

Noah Edelman, Weinberg ‘25

Noah is a co-founder at The Neuron, a daily newsletter sharing the latest AI news and tools that help over 225,000 subscribers be more impactful at work and run their businesses more efficiently. Noah is a member of the prestigious Little Joe Ventures Fellowship at The Garage and has been a long-time Resident for multiple different projects. Notably, he worked on Authentic Media Ascension (AMA) which was acquired by Jellysmack in 2022. The Neuron also took home the Audience Favorite prize at VentureCat 2023.

Chirag Goel, Weinberg ‘21

Chirag is the founder and CEO at TegoTech, a company creating first-to-market magnetic wall outlet technology to reduce electrocution and tripping hazards. During his time at Northwestern, his team participated in the Residency program at The Garage and most recently progressed to the semifinals of VentureCat 2023. Post-grad, the TegoTech team has grown to 15 people and are currently raising a pre-seed round.
